MOSPEL – the results of the exhibition of March

In the period from the 13th to the 16th of March 2018 the traditional large-scale MOSPEL exposition of bags and accessories in leather was held in the framework of the MOSSHOES Exhibition.

For several years the MOSPEL is a separate exhibition making part of the MOSSHOES event which gives possibility to visitors to get to know all the aspects of the leather and footwear industry.

This year more than 100 participants from Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Portugal, Turkey, India, China and Russia became the exhibitors of the MOSPEL Exhibition. 30 participants were first-time exhibitors.

The number of exhibitors has increased by 38% against September 2017 due to growing interest on the part of foreign manufacturers towards the russian market and to a significant extent to the growth of the  medium and high price range brands.

According to the MOSSHOES’s statistics more than 3 000 visitors interested in the segment attended the bags and accessories  exposition. The 42% of the visitors declared themselves representatives of purchasing offices of offline and online retail outlets, the 54% are the business owners.

 

Turkey and China exposed their products at national stands which gathered leading manufacturers of leather bags and accessories. The Russian market is a subject of a particular interest because it offers wide development prospects from the point of view of cooperation with the Russian companies in the field of the contract manufacturing.

The visitors showed great interest for the products of Indian manufacturers which differ in authenticity of models, attention to details and multiplicity of handmade elements.

One more distinctive feature of the MOSPEL Exhibition was the fact that this year some companies generally exposing footwear exposed bags as well. This fact is conditioned by the general market trend of the complementary sales which offer to the customer the total look. Such companies as Analpa, Vitacci, Caprice, Basconi and many others exposed their products in this manner.

Taking into account the great interest to the bags and accessories segment both on the part of the visitors and the exhibitors it was decided to extend the September Exhibition. Further a special zone for the demonstration of the best models will be provided. The organizers of the Exhibition are planning to improve the navigation through the MOSPEL sector and to hold seminars and master classes guided by the market experts especially for those visitors and exhibitors who chose this segment as priority for developing their business.
